2009 – The Year So Far…

Ramornie Day @ Grafton - CRJC July Racing Carnival 15th July 09

Ramornie Day @ Grafton - CRJC July Racing Carnival 15th July 09

What a year we’ve had so far and with Spring just around the corner and so many things to talk about, I thought it pertinent to update our blog for the first time this year mind you. There is only so much one has time for these days.

The first reason for new technology is usually so that we can get things done quicker, more easily and more efficiently but the way I see it, the more time we free up,  the more we jam it full of other stuff to do. Doesn’t make sense.

Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, Websites – all that and maintain the members and day to day running of the company certainly all add up and it is not uncommon for me to put in a 14hr day. So I apologise that my posts have been sporadic.

The Good Stuff…

The new update release early this year has proved to be a bit of a star. While not the holy grail mind you – they really do not exist – it has made plenty of people a fantastic income andgiven many others hope that they will one day be doing the same with the appropriate training and time put in.

Our Byron bay office has been great. Lots of visits from existing clients even all the way from New Zealand and several inhouse demonstrationswhich is a bit different from the normal faceless variety over the internet.

The new website was launched early August which looks a treat and has many features not available before now, such as live support and instant chat so that website visitors can chat freely without have to give up their details. It is certainly a shame that people are left to feel that they can not trust anyone enough to do so with confidence but that is the way of the world today unfortunately (I will talk about this more in the next section).

We have received many testimonialsand good reports from our members and that makes our job more than worthwhile. If I wasn’t getting such feedback, I wouldn’t bother keeping the doors open. One such member reported a profit of ‘$5008 in 10 days’ which is an absolutely fantastic return on his investment. Seeing as though Bettortrader doesntcost much more than that, the potential is huge and the speedy ROI is great too.

We have started to do weekly webinars (online seminars) which have received great response and will now be another integral part of our business. It’s great to be able to share our knowledged with each other and adds even more to the community driven aspect of what we do. The webinars have been recorded and will be used for our video tutorials.

People love the transparency of Bettortrader and the members group chats through Skype, the members forums and now the webinars on top of the usual one on one training every week all go toward being able to learn sooner rather than later exactly what it takes to make consistent returns from this market.

Bec and I are having another baby. It was all plain sailing until this week when Bec had a threatened miscarriage. It was incredibly scarey and life is currently hanging in the balance so to speak. So it’s been all rest and no play for her. I get a bit uppity when she starts talking about doing the washing! Stay in bed I say. Hopefully all will be ok. Only time will tell.

Sponsoring the Clarence River Jocky Club was a definite highlight of this year. The horses starting wearing our BT saddle cloths during the CRJCJuly Racing Carnival and will do for every 2nd race for the next 2yrs.

It was an honour to have our colours on the horses for the Sir James Kirby HCPwhich is a time honoured race in Grafton with lost of interesting history. It was won this year by Borshas Mark with Stathi Katsidis riding in fine form. Bettortraderperformed extremely well over the two days. We had a marquee set up with Bettortrader running live on a big screen.

We had a prize draw for a Bettortrader package, complimentary champas’ and lots of people to talk to. It was a lot of fun and I cant wait to do it again. They are a lovely bunch of people down there.

Putting Bettortrader on the spot in front of 4000 odd people on Ramornie Day andthen the next day for the Grafton Cup with 10,000 plus people on track was refreshing for many and the feedback was great. “very ‘gutsy’ of you” said one old chap, “you must be confident”. Yes, we are – very.

The Bad – The Blade Of Grass That Sticks Up, Will Be Cut Down…

There is very little bad within the company and our lives in general. All but for one thing that seems to have no end. The malicious, defamatory internet attacks have not stopped.

Last year I made the decision to just not look at any of it. It was depressing me and my family and interfering with my business. I have been discussing our options with lawyers for the last 18mths and happy as the perpetrators would be to hear, we have not got far.

Being the sites in question are hosted in the U.S, we have no hope of getting anywhere with any of them unless we go to the U.S to fight them. There are new laws which state that they may have to come here for it to be heard but that is still being looked into.

In the last 2yrs I have spent well over $200,000 on building the software and positioning the business in the way it is all to have some lowlife attempt to tear it down.

Either he wishes he had what we have or he has had a tough time competing on a level playing field because we do a hell of a lot for our customers and we dont charge the Earth for it. For those who are selling lesser products for tens of thousands, it must be damn hard.

The trouble with the internet of course, is that people can hide quite easily behind proxy servers and false names, overseas webisites etc and there is not much that can be done to find them without extremely deep pockets.

There is even a site that has allowed someone to threaten our lives and to do nasty things to my wife! This is absolutely disgusting andit has not come for anyone associated with my company be it members or otherwise.

It has been heartwrenching to read these things about myself and see the things that are plastered all over the place. Here is one such link and you must cut and paste it and add the actual dots yourself where it has the word dot as don’t want to give them an incoming link –

ozripoff report. Lovely stuff, isn't it? Police investigations have commenced.

The support from the members has been tremendous – overwhelming in fact and that has been the most humbling of things to experience. The posts remain however and for those who read it all and do know any better, it then costs me my business,  my peace of mind, our family security and more.

The stress of working so hard for our members and working so hard to build an ethical business only to have to try and convince people daily that what they have read is rubbish – I can not begin to say.

It has been horrible and almost enough to want to get out much to the dismay of our customers. I can always go home and make my $2,000 a week off Bettortraderwithout putting up with this crap I can tell you.

I work too hard to be a scammer and everyone who is onboard with the business knows only too well that we bend over backwards for everyone. I wont be beaten though, not by this scum. The above post – if it is still there – has been reported to police andwe will see how far this goes. I am also trying to get coverage with Today Tonight, A Current Affair and al the papers. I am going to  make some noise and flush this person or company out into the open.

The bottom line is this really and I have said it over and over. If anyone had a serious enough complaint that they would come to and burn our house down, it would have gone legal with complaints made against us with Department of Fair Trading, ASIC etc which there hasn’t.

We would not work as hard as we do and our members would all be up in arms. They are but not about us, about these so and so’swho are doing everything they can to ruin us. Before you believe what you read, do yourself a favour and stop to think. Why are they doing this? Why is it all anonymous? Why cant they be contacted? Where is the substance?
